More Than 762,000 Pounds Of Hot Pockets Recalled Over Glass & Plastic Contamination
More than 762,000 pounds of pepperoni Hot Pockets have been recalled this month from no more less than four consumer complaints of glass and hard plastic contamination; which left one person with a βminor oral injury.β
On Friday (Jan. 15), NestlΓ© Prepared Foods released aΒ statementΒ about recalling thousands upon thousands of pounds of Hot Pockets after determining they couldβve been contaminated with βextraneous materials, specifically pieces of glass and hard plastic.β
The statement read, βNestlΓ© Prepared Foods is recalling approximately 762,615 pounds of not-ready-to-eat (NRTE) pepperoni hot pockets product. The frozen NRTE pepperoni hot pockets product was produced from Nov. 13, 2020 through Nov. 16, 2020.β The company says for customers to look out for theΒ 54-oz carton packages containing 12 PREMIUM PEPPERONI sandwiches with a βBEST BEFORE FEB 2022β date and lot codes 0318544624, 0319544614, 0320544614, and 0321544614.
The US Department of Agricultureβs Food Safety and Inspection Service suggests that if you have purchased the since-recalled product, you should throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.
