Surviving R. Kelly is back but this time with a part II. More details inside…
Lifetime declared Wednesday that Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning — the recently declared follow-up to the system’s testing investigates the artist’s alleged sexual abuse — will air in 2020.
The first half of the two-night, four-hour special will debut January third, with the subsequent part to pursue January fourth. On January second, before Part II, Lifetime will air the six-hour Surviving R. Kelly completely.
Part II glances back at the prompt social effect in the repercussions of Surviving R. Kelly, just as runs down everything that has happened to the artist since the docuseries circulated, including his record contract end, a weapon danger at the docuseries’ debut, the Illinois state charges against Kelly and a couple of government prosecutions.
The subsequent will include new meetings with writer Jim DeRogatis, Damon Dash, Mathew Knowles, #MeToo Founder Tarana Burke, W. Kamau Bell, State’s Attorney for Cook County Kimberly Foxx, legal advisor Michael Avenatti (who speaks to a portion of Kelly’s supposed exploited people) and ladies like Jerhonda Pace and Kitti Jones, who included conspicuously in Surviving R. Kelly.
