Netflix has officially dropped its first teaser trailer of “Selena: The Series,” and fans can’t get enough of it. The teaser, which was released on Tuesday, gave Selena Quintanilla-Perez fans a first look of star Christian Serratos as the Queen of Cumbia.
Serratos, who is best known for her roles in “The Walking Dead,” “Twilight,” and the Nickelodeon show “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” was announced to play the star in August.
The one-minute trailer showed cuts of Serratos looking over her script, a first look at the stars playing Abraham and Marcella Quintanilla and Serratos taking on Selena’s signature look: feathered bangs, red lipstick and her iconic purple jumpsuit from her 1995 Houston Astrodome performance.
The series is due to hit the streaming platform in 2020, though an exact launch date has yet to be announced.
