Yeezy season approaching! that is if Kanye does in fact drop his anticipated Jesus Is King album on Friday. Sources close to the situation have confirmed that we is in fact dropping the album according to his twitter post.
It’s been a long road for West since the arrival of his critically underwhelming ye album last summer. He was supposed to drop Yandhi, but it seems due to all of the leeks throughout the internet, Yhandi is scrapped.
For much of 2019, West’s Sunday Service has been his passion project, seeing the rapper put on an array of gospel performances with a choir across the country. From Atlanta, to Chicago, where he parted the crowd to get through the stage. Yeezy’s Sunday services have been the talk of social media for a while now.
Back in August, Kim posted the track list and a release date for Jesus Is King in a post to Twitter.This left fans in a frenzy, for Kanye did not drop the album when everyone expected him to. I
“Water” , a single on Ye’s new album, was initially premiered during Sunday Service at Coachella back in April of this year.
The 42-year-old has often referred to wanting himself to be more like water, possibly in a purer sense. “We are water/ Clean us like the rain in spring/ Take the chlorine out of conversation,” he sings.
Making its debut at Sunday Service in March, the heavenly “Garden” blends thunderous vocals from the gospel choir with singing courtesy of Clemons.
Jesus is King is set to release Friday at 12:00 a.m. !
