Meek Mill on prison reform..
Meek Mill is making a change through REFORM Alliance which is a charity organization that works to reduce the about of people who are unjustly under the criminal justice system while changing hearts and minds. Meek is closely connected with this issue he states “I’m one of the lucky ones, we have people who don’t have a voice. I’m here to speak on behalf of those people who don’t have a voice.” The Alliance began when Meek Mill was unjustly re-imprisoned due to minor technical violations of his probation agreement. The #FreeMeek movement that was started after he was sentenced to two-to-four years. This led to his release on bail in April of 2018. After his release, the founders of the REFORM Alliance joined forces to work towards impacting the change of mass supervision laws along with other incarceration laws.
In addition to policy change, Meek has announced a tour that he has coming up. The tour is titled “The Motivation Tour” and has eighteen dates scheduled across the country with tickets on sale now.
