Did someone say Purge?
The government shutdown has been going on for almost a month – the longest in the nations history. Trump shut the government down in December right before the holidays because the Democrats reportedly refused to grant him $5Billion for the wall. Many federal workers didn’t go to work because they were not getting paid to work. Trump has ordered thousands of government workers to return to work to process tax returns, perform safety inspections, and more. Recently, Trump signed a bill stating that backpay will be provided to federal employees after the partial shutdown ends. The status of when the shutdown will end is still unknown.
Since a shutdown was summoned, many celebrities have had a few words for the POTUS. Rapper Cardi B, states that she is scared and wants to take action because the shutdown is getting out of hand. Boosie Badazz wants to take action as well but in a different way than many others. The Louisiana rapper took to Instagram and made a post with no caption that said, “Since the government is shut down are we allowed to purge. Asking for myself…..I need to handle some s**t.” We have no clue when the shutdown will end. Many individuals are becoming concerned about the effects that can possibly take place from the results of the shutdown.
