Industry executive, reality star and veteran rapper Benzino, born Raymond Scott, is unfortunately amid a serious legal battle that could land him in hot water.
According to sources, Benzino was arrested in January 2017 after police executing a search warrant on his Atlanta apartment found the drugs. He was charged with felony possession of THC oil gummies, felony possession of MDMA pills and misdemeanor weed possession. The former “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star could be facing a lengthy jail sentence if found guilty.
His legal advisors beforehand contended that the inquiry was illicit, however a judge decided that it was legitimate.
The 53-year-old reality show star/rapper turned down a plea deal with prosecutors and plans to sue the police department once he is acquitted. If convicted, Benzino is said to be facing up to 15 years in prison.
