“THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS…THEY ARE FINE AND LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SHOW TOMORROW”
Apparently, the show did not end as planned Saturday night in Atlanta when an overzealous fan decided to rush behind Beyonce and Jay-Z at the closing of their On the Run Tour II. The man suffered minor injuries after being rushed by multiple backup dancers and security guards. Shortly afterwards, he was detained by Atlanta Police Department and identified as Anthony Charles Thomas Maxwell. Before being released, he was issued a citation for disorderly conduct and charged with simple battery.
“We are happy to confirm that no one was hurt during the incident and that Mr. and Mrs. Carter will not be pressing charges against the drunken individual,” the tour team stated towards CNN. It was identified by Atlanta Police spokesperson that Maxwell amazingly got close enough to push Jay-Z, which was the cause of his simple charge. He was recently booked in Fulton County Jail. It is unclear if able to retain a lawyer. And as for the Carters, the show must go on.
