Friday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Department responded to a call from a home owner in Knox County that someone had broke in their home. Deputies said Kenneth Couch, broke into the house stole a handgun from the home.
While tracking down Couch, deputies learned he was picked up by an ambulance at Dixon’s market after faking a heart attack.
When the ambulance arrived at Baptist Health Corbin, authorities said Couch got out and walked to the cafeteria. He was still in the cafeteria when deputies arrested him.
Couch faces charges of first-degree burglary and falsely reporting an incident. He was also wanted in Caldwell County for failure to appear on two counts of theft by deception using cold checks. He was taken to the Knox County Detention Center.
