DERRIUS GUICE SWITCHES SPORT AGENCIES AND SIGNS WITH LIL WAYNE’S GROUP
January, NFL prospect Derrius Guice announced that he was signing with Top Dawg Entertainment, the agency for major artists like Kendrick Lamar and SZA, stating that “they were the first guys who came to me, just like LSU was the first school to offer me a scholarship” and that he “didn’t forget that.” A few months later, and the running back has moved on from that agency and signed with another sports representation group that has a strong tie to the music industry.
Guice has switched to be represented now by Young Money APAA Sports, which has had an extremely busy offseason. The sports agency that includes Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter as a team member has at least two possible 2018 NFL Draft selections that includes Guice and Texas linebacker Malik Jefferson, who signed with Lil Wayne’s agency at the beginning of the year adding instant credibility to the young sports company.
Additionally, Young Money APAA Sports acquired a rival football agency in December 2017 when it purchased PlayersRep Sports Management, adding many NFL players to its roster including Devin McCourty, Duron Harmon, Lane Johnson, Jason McCourty and Seth Roberts.
