On Wednesday (March 7), a 48-inch water main break broke in the morning, shutting down hospitals, businesses, restaurants and schools; placing the county on a boil water advisory. Schools and restaurants are scheduled to reopen today (Thursday). Department of Watershed Management Interim Director Reggie Wells said that the advisory could last until Saturday. The county’s CEO is setting a full investigation in effect to determine the cause of the 20-30 year main.
