JERMAINE DUPRI HAS BEEN NAMED AS ONE OF THE INDUCTEES FOR THE 2018 SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME!His induction is set to come one year after Jay-Z became one of the first rappers ever to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Over the years, he has been racking up on both songwriting as well as producing credit as he worked with some of music’s biggest stars including Mariah Carey, Usher, Xscape, Monica, and many others.
Songwriters become eligible to be inducted in the Hall of Fame after 20 years of writing songs. Dupri launched his So So Def record label back in 1993, launching the career of a number of artists and setting the tone for the music scene both inside and outside of Atlanta.
The 2018 Songwriter’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on June 14 in New York City.
