White Ford Bronco that led LAPD on a low-speed chase for the capture of O.J. Simpson, days after the double-murder of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman in 1994, is up for sale.
Coincidentally, the infamous SUV has been the property of Simpson’s former agent, Mike Gilbert, for the past two decades. Gilbert is said to have purchased the vehicle directly from its owner, A.C. Cowlings [who happened to be the driver on that fateful day O.J.’s attempted escape to the Mexican border was aired live on television]. Throughout the duration of time Gilbert has held on to possession of the Bronco, he’s submitted it to be showcased at Alcatraz East Crime Museum, but has refused to part with it up until the recent hype behind Simpson’s release revealed a window of opportunity to capitalize off of it.
Gilbert recently turned down a $250,000 offer for the truck. He will now make an appearance on the History Channel show Pawn Stars and attempt to pitch a sale upwards of $500,000 to the show’s host, Rick Harrison. Harrison has never paid that much money for a collectible.
