KNUCKLE HEAD OF THE DAY:
Over the weekend in Kansas, a 70-year-old man by the name of Lawrence Ripple turned himself in to jail after robbing a Kansas bank. After not being charged for so long, he told investigators that he’d rather be imprisoned than to be with his wife and admitted carrying out the “holdup”.
Ripple pleaded guilty Monday in Kansas City, Kansas, to a federal bank robbery count which he now faces up to 20 years in prison.
Courts confirm that Ripple gave a Kansas City bank teller a note in September demanding cash, warning that he had a gun grabbing nearly $3,000.
Later, he sat in the bank lobby and told a guard he was the “guy he was looking for.” An FBI agent says Ripple had argued with his wife earlier and told her that he’d “rather be in jail than at home.”
However, according to The Kansas City Star Lawrence Ripple’s wife accompanied him to court Monday.
What are your thoughts? Could you do it?
