Has the Feud between Ciara and Future ended, Hit the Link
The infamous legal battle between Ciara and Future has finally come to an end. Ciara recently dropped her $15 million defamation lawsuit against Atlanta Superstar rapper, Future according to a report by TMZ. Ciara filed documents today (Dec. 7) in the Superior Court in Fulton County, Ga. to officially stop this legal battle. The actions come from a libel lawsuit against her former fiancé back in October 2016. It’s confirmed that Ciara’s defamation lawsuit which was originally filed in February 2016 was dismissed with prejudice, meaning that it cannot be refiled. Back during their feud, Future spoke negatively about his custody battle with Ciara and also vented his frustrations about his baby’s mother in a series of tweets:
“I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future,” Future wrote in Janauary 2016. “The fuckery for 15k a month. I been silent for a year & a half..I ran outta patience. I just want baby future that’s all.”
Ciara claimed that Future’s words caused her to lose a $500,000 endorsement deal, which was part of the reason why she sought $15 million in damages. A judge would dismiss this claim, stating that it was not enough to warrant all the money she was asking from Future. That ruling quickly led to Ciara dropping her aforementioned libel lawsuit against Future. So can the two meet at a common ground and co parent baby future in the near future?
